Create your own legacy by leaving a bequest to FFV in your Will

If you appreciate the values and work of Freemasons Foundation Victoria, a simple way to help us continue our work within the community is by making a bequest as part of your Will.

A bequest may take the form of the whole or any portion of your estate or a specific sum of money. You may wish to discuss the matter of a bequest with your family or seek advice from your solicitor if desired.

Choosing to leave a gift in your Will won’t affect your bank account today, however, just a little slice – say 1% of your estate - will help your Foundation continue its work into the future.

Freemasons Foundation Victoria has partnered with Safewill, Australia’s leading online Will writing platform, to make it easy and affordable for you to support FFV by leaving a gift in your Will. You and members of your family can write their Will online today for $80 (usually $160).

1. Prepare your Will

Safewill will ask a few simple questions that will allow you to create your own Will on any device (or over the phone if you prefer).

3. Submit for Review

When you're ready, checkout and submit your Will. A solicitor from Safewill Legal will review your Will to ensure it's been filled out correctly. Safewill will be in touch within 2-3 business days.

2. Consider leaving a charitable gift

You can create a lasting legacy by leaving a charitable gift in your Will. A gift as little as 1% of your Estate can make a significant difference to FFV’s philanthropic work.

4. Print & sign

Once reviewed, Safewill will email you your Will document. Find two witnesses, print and sign the Will, and store somewhere safe - you're all done.

If you’ve already included a gift in your Will to Freemasons Foundation Victoria, we would be grateful if you would let us know and complete the Notification Form. Letting us know you have included a gift in your Will gives us the chance to personally thank you for your generous support in your lifetime, while keeping you up-to-date with our work.

Once you have notified us of your Bequest, you will become a member of the 1889 Bequest Society, which was established to thank and acknowledge people in their lifetime for making a bequest.
