Leadership changes at Freemasons Foundation Victoria

Melbourne, 24 April 2025: Freemasons Foundation Victoria (FFV) is pleased to announce key changes to its leadership team, as part of a broader evolution of its organisational structure, following a recent Board review of the Foundation’s 2023–2028 Strategy.

 

Sandra Jacobs appointed CEO

Sandra Jacobs has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of FFV and will commence on 12th May 2025. An experienced and highly respected philanthropic executive and social entrepreneur, Sandra brings a wealth of knowledge across philanthropy, wealth management and community development.

 

Sandra’s executive leadership roles have included CEO at the Bennelong Foundation and the Self-Determination Fund. She is also the Founder and Chair of The Nappy Collective, a nationwide social enterprise supporting women and children affected by family violence. Prior to her transition into the philanthropic sector, Sandra spent 12 years at Morgan Stanley as a Private Wealth Adviser.

 

Sandra said “I am inspired by the Foundation’s vision to build a stronger and healthier Victoria and I am committed to ensuring our support is both thoughtful and impactful.”

 

“Sandra brings a powerful combination of strategic insight and sector knowledge,” said FFV Chairman, Garry James. “Her leadership will be pivotal, as we expand our efforts to empower communities and create meaningful, long-lasting impact across Victoria.”

 

Joanna Walter appointed Finance Manager and Company Secretary

Joanna Walter has joined the Foundation as Finance Manager and Company Secretary. A Chartered Accountant with experience within ‘big four’ professional services advisors, the Department of Defence and private practice, Joanna has a deep understanding of the not-for-profit and start-up sectors. Her addition to the team will ensure strong financial stewardship and corporate governance.

 

Farewell to Theresa Mangion, Marketing, Communications and Grants Manager

The Foundation also bids farewell to Theresa Mangion, and extends our heartfelt thanks for her integral role in our various programs. Her dedication has left a lasting impression on both the Foundation and the broader Freemasons community. We are deeply grateful for her contributions and wish her continued success in her future endeavours..

 

These leadership changes signal a renewed focus on delivering thoughtful and purposeful charitable support and strengthening community involvement—contributing to a stronger and healthier Victoria for all.
